Demmette Guidry is an award-winning music and entertainment executive, cultural strategist, and creative visionary with three decades of experience shaping global music and media. As Chief Marketing Officer of The ONE DROP EXPERIENCE (ODX) — a live event-based film exhibition and immersive entertainment company founded by Nia T. Hill — Guidry serves both strategic (long-term brand building and market positioning) and tactical (driving attendance, engagement, and revenue) roles. He leads the teams responsible for brand strategy and integrated marketing shaping campaign integration to merge culture, technology, and audience engagement.
A veteran of the major-label era, Guidry has held senior leadership roles including; Senior Vice President, Warner Brothers Records; Senior Vice President, Sanctuary Records Urban; General Manager, Music World Entertainment; and Senior Vice President of Marketing at Columbia Records, where he drove the careers of iconic artists including Beyoncé, Lauryn Hill, Will Smith, the Fugees, Wyclef Jean, Nas, Maxwell, Destiny’s Child, Mariah Carey, and Mary Mary, among others. His campaigns have generated hundreds of millions in global sales and helped define the visual and emotional language of contemporary Black music and entertainment.
Guidry’s influence extends beyond music into film, with marketing and soundtrack strategy for cultural classics such as Love Jones, The Best Man, The Brothers, and Men in Black. As an architect of cultural moments, he continues to build bridges between music, film, and live experience — reimagining how audiences engage with stories through ODX’s immersive, community-centric model.
A passionate advocate for cultural preservation, Guidry is the Co-Founder of the Black American Music Foundation and the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta. His lifelong mission is to honor, protect, and amplify the legacy of Black American creatives as a global cultural force — a mission now brought to life through his marketing leadership at ODX.
